Car accidents more likely with the recent Michigan weather

The inclement weather of late appears to have caused a rise in traffic accidents. Many of these might be preventable if drivers were more cautious while traveling. The icy roads and reduced visibility can impair the driving ability of even the most experienced motorists, let alone those who may not have been driving for more than a couple of years, something which can lead to more car accidents. This was seen in a recent car accident that occurred here in Michigan where a young motorist stands accused of causing an injury crash.

DUI car accidents far too common in Michigan

Any fatal car accident is tragic enough on its own. Those who are unfortunate enough to have lost loved ones in car accidents have their worlds completely shattered and must attempt to pick up the pieces after suffering such a terrible loss. That loss is only amplified when the accident was completely preventable. Recently, several Michigan residents were compelled to recount a devastating crash and its aftereffects that were caused by a motorist who allegedly chose to drive under the influence.

Any car accident is devastating to those involved. Injury and loss of life are some of the biggest risks that people face when they are involved in a crash. When the other vehicle involved happens to be a large truck, the possibility that someone will be severely injured goes up significantly. Recently, here in Michigan, one person died and two others were injured after a collision with a semi-truck. Truck accidents can be particularly deadly, and this one was no exception.

Michigan car accidents claim lives of young people too often

One of the last things any parent wants to deal with is the death of a child. Many times, that loss occurs in an unfortunate car accident, making the situation even more difficult. It comes as no surprise that too many youth are tragically killed in car accidents on Michigan roads each year. A recent single-vehicle accident has resulted in the death of a 12-year-old.
