Truck accidents injure Michigan residents of all ages

Car accidents are an unfortunate reality here in Michigan. The circumstances of each one varies, but they are all devastating for those unlucky enough to experience them. When the accident involves a semi-truck, it can be even more horrific, as larger vehicles pose a greater risk to potential victims. This was highlighted in a recent crash affecting a young girl injured in just one of Michigan's many truck accidents.

The accident happened in the morning when a bus was carrying the girl. The driver of the bus properly stopped at an intersection but was struck when driving across the street. The vehicle that hit it was a semi-truck. The girl was thrown from the bus she was riding in and had to be rushed to a nearby hospital.

The girl and the driver of the bus were both injured, but they are expected to recover. There is no word at this time as to what may have caused the accident. Authorities have not released any information about possible impairment of either driver or of any other circumstances that may have led to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

Regardless of who is determined to be at fault for this crash -- the bus driver or the semi driver -- the injuries the little girl suffered may require extensive medical care. Her family may wish to make a civil claim against whichever driver is held responsible. If such a personal injury claim were successful, it could be used to cover unpaid medical expenses and for any continuing care the girl may need. The driver who is not deemed responsible may also wish to file a claim. Truck accidents here in Michigan can have dire consequences, and those unlucky enough to be affected by them have options to seek justice.
