The accident happened in the morning when a bus was carrying the girl. The driver of the bus properly stopped at an intersection but was struck when driving across the street. The vehicle that hit it was a semi-truck. The girl was thrown from the bus she was riding in and had to be rushed to a nearby hospital.
The girl and the driver of the bus were both injured, but they are expected to recover. There is no word at this time as to what may have caused the accident.
